Today I’m honored to be apart of the Create A Smile Beach Party Video Hop! I’m number 3 on the list, so if you want to start at the beginning You should go to the Create A Smile Blog, there you will also find all the information about the new kit, this is a limited edition kit, when it’s sold out it is gone!
For my card today I used a little bit of almost everything in the kit. I had so much fun! Next person on the hop is Laura Bassen.
Summer means so many different things for so many different people. For me when I think of summer I think of when I was little, the last day of school before the summer vacation. The dew in the grass, being all dressed up heading to church to sing for the parents. The smells and the sun. So when I saw the flower girl collection I knew that they would be perfect for my CAS card for the theme of summer.
I’ve chosen a very soft color-scheme, to match a dress I had as I child. I was a blond and blue eyed girl but thought that brown would be better suited for my Isabella. I did some distress ink smooching on a small piece of watercolour cardstock and die-cut the hi from that.
To keep with the soft feeling I choose to stamp the summer in a brown ink that matched her hair. To tie it all together I did some splatters onto my die-cut background with the same distress inks I’ve used for the sentiment and a little bit of bronze ink. For those finishing touches I added a couple of enamel dots to balance up the card.
It’s Saturday again, and we all know what that mean! I have a new card for you with a Little Miss Muffet Stamp stamp, today I’m using sweet little Celeste Amberglow Dreamer. And with her sitting on a cloud I got another chance to use MFTs Stitched Cloud Edges again, just love those dies. The sentiment is from one of the first Simon Says Stamp stampsets I’ve got, and I did a little surgery on it as I wanted the finished art of the sentiment to be inside of the card. And instead of using rest of the stamp I used an amazing MFT die. Hope you like it and remember, all of you are amazing! And don’t forget to join the Little Miss Mffet Challenge
Me and my friend Olga was having a swap, which I’m painfully late with I must admit. Well the theme was lace and I just got blocked, until I saw Charlie On A Swing and all the ideas started flowing. I wanted to make a canopy of lace and flowers.
Today the new Clean & Simple Challenge over at Make It Crafty goes live. And you read that right, the Clean & Simple, was asked by the sweet Zoe if I wanted, after years in the Colouring DT, to go Clean & Simple. This was something I secretly wanted to do since she announced the team, but little old me didn’t dare to ask. Most of my cards are clean and simple, that’s just how I do it, still really scared about it! But it’s going to be so fun! Here is my little teaser, hope on over to the Make It Crafty blog for the challenge post and the full card.
I’m back! After having a bad and a good month with almost no crafting, it started with an accident, accidentally pouring a pan of boiling water over my right hand. Then my SLE decided to flare up. But I have finished april with going away to Greece for a week and had some really needed RnR. And now I’m back and hopefully I will be able to keep up with my posting.
Todays card was a thank you card for my friend who was taking care of my wonderful little kitties while I was in Greece. The colour scheme was taken from a colour challenge over at the Create A Smile Facebook group, I just loved the combination and when I found that I had the perfect papers for it I was on a roll. This card is a pocket card made to fit some instant chocolate bags, was supposed to be coffee but didn’t have any at home.
Sorry for being away for such a long time, I’ve had health issues, they arn’t gone but are subsiding. So I haven’t been crafting for a while. But today when I saw MFTs Inspiration Friday, which is Inspired by Spring Rain I just new what I wanted to do, hope you love it as much as I do!
I masked off the little tassel on the stick that the adorable litte bunny was holding and then I drew a umbrella on top of it with a copic multiliner. I know that MFT do have an umberella (which I sadly don’t have, yet) so if you don’t wanna draw you could use that and do some more masking.

Hi Guys! A couple of weeks ago some friends of mine got a new little baby, and I just had to send them a card. When they got married two years ago I used a couple in the geeky series, so of course I just needed to use one of the baby images in the same series. I decided to crop the image with some heart dies to “zoom” in on the baby and parents, to make them the focal point. I paired it with a die cut in the same size to get dimension with out making the card bigger. This is a smaller card, and I’ve been on a smaller card fix lately, it’s so fun working with clean and simple and small.
I love challenges, they make me think in new ways. I love combining challenges, that makes it just a little bit harder. My Favorite Things have two challenges, the sketch challenge and the colour challenge so I decided to join both and while doing that use a whole bunch of my new fun supplies.
One of the things that I got last week was all of the sample packs of paper, I love sample packs because not only do I get to try the paper it self and see thickness and tooth, I love colouring with pencils on coloured cardstock so the tooth of the paper is important, but also I get to see all the colours which can be hard to see on a computer screen and now I can see what colours I like and that I feel I need more of. But who am I kidding, I want all of the papers! It’s also awesome for a colour challenge as then I can compare the colours directly and I can use bits and pieces for my cards.
I’ve been dying to play with the new Distress Crayons, I’ve watched every little youtube video I could on the subject, kind of figuring out what I could or could not do with them. So when they dropped in in my mail a couple of days ago I just couldn’t wait! I really bought them for my Mixed Media Journal but thought I would see how I could use them on my cards.
At the moment I’m totally crazy about using all of the techniques, trying out everything and I hope that you enjoy coming on that journey with me. The colour scheme for this card is directly picked out of one of the Distress Crayons packages, I so loved how they looked next to each other and I just had to play. Hope you enjoy the video.
