I have really gotten into that spring feeling, isn’t this Little Miss Muffet Stamp, Swings ‘n Slides Froggy the epiphany of spring? She is super adorable, and of course I needed to pair her with these super adorable papers by Lawn Fawn, sadly they are no longer sold, but I’m running out of them so soon you’ll stop seeing projects with them.
When colouring her I actually practiced my blending, I’ve been looking at these really cute images and everyone have this perfect blending, so thought I just put some extra time in blending everything together.
Todays card is clean & simple, almost a one layer card (my image is as most times popped up on foam tape). And it’s with these very soft colours, and soft shading, I don’t know what have come over me, it might just be the longing for spring.
Another happy colourful card from me today, It’s been raining all day and now it’s snowing so I thought it would brighten my day. Isn’t Jr. Hatter Gamora totally adorable, think she could lighten up anyones day.
Sometimes you just need to have a remake day, yesterday I spent about 2-3 hours creating a card, but when I finished I was to tired to edit things. So when I woke up this morning I just looked at the card and said nope, this doesn’t work, let’s redo this. So I kept my focal point image, Girls Flying Kite, or more I reprinted it and then I just changed everything about the card. I added my favourite papers and my favourite dies and my card went from nope to be a happy, cute and colorful card. And I felt it was a yes card, that this was something I was proud to show. And here is the card.
Todays card it one of those where the inspiration came from watching youtube, artist youtube. I love watching people create, it’s one of those things that makes me inspired, so I love youtube. I watch a lot of crafters but I also watch a lot of artists. I’ve been following this swedish artist called Bokkei for years, she makes wonderful portraits and she was one of the reasons I got my markers and later my coloured pencils. Her latest creation is a portrait in pencils on grey cardstock and I knew I just needed to try. And this is the very clean and simple card that came out of that playing session.

My Simon Says Stamp Card Kit dropped into my mailbox while I was away on retreat, it took me awhile but I finally got some time to play with it. When I saw Unicorn Princess by The Paper Nest Dolls I just new I needed to combine her with the papers in the kit. I love the soft pink, corals and mint that the card kit has and it seems to be a color way that is very in right now. Todays card is a friendship one, and I thought I would show that even though the card kit is a “valentine” one you can use it for so much more. A little tip, I usually try to match my copics to my pattern paper, this time I found BG34 that fitted perfectly and then I just looked through my copics to find a darker and some lighter markers that would enhance the BG34 beautifully. Thats how I usually work.
Todays card is another in my little valentine series, no video today but a darling little card. I’m using Little Miss Muffet Stamps Polka Dot Pals Zemar which is this super cute little lion, as with all Polka Dot Pals he only came with eyes but I googled a lion and added something that looks like a lion face. I’m not lion when I hope you have a grrreat valentine!

There is a new challenge over at Make It Colourful, and this month it’s transparency! I’ve chosen to colour a bottle, and I really wanted to have something in it so I found some really cute fairies that I added. The things I thought about when colouring the bottle was the teeny tiny sliver at the edge of the bottle that I left blank to give the illusion of the glass and also using a white pen (in my case a posca) to add the shine to one part to make it look like the glass was reflecting some light.
Another valentines card for you today, again with colours that we really don’t see as valentiny (is that really a word?). Thought this would be perfect for those feline lovers out there.
