I continue to make my christmas cards, I have a few I need to send out this year. Todays stamp is Christmas Sophie by Little Blue Button Stamps. I combined that with one sheet of pattern paper from Fancy Pants Designs Merry Little Christmas 6 x 6 paper pack. I love these kind of papers that is a detailed background all in it self.
I’m completely in love with the stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, Dexter is no exception. I think I’ve had him in my digi files since last year and I finally got to colour him. Todays card is actually a challenge card, the challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges is CAS (Clean And Simple). The card might seem a bit busy with the paper and all, but it is as clean and simple as it gets with only one pattern paper and one sentiment and no embellishments. And as usual you can watch my companion video below, where I show you how I coloured him and how I put the card together.
I don’t know about you, but I have a bunch of halloween images already printed laying around on my table, screaming at me wanting to be colored. But halloween came and went and they are still there, so I thought I see if I can make some christmas cards from them. This is Mummy wrapped digi, doesn’t he make a cute christmas character?
I’ve been having this beautiful Angel Maya by Whiff Of Joy in my stash for at least a year. And now I finally got down to colour her up. I wanted to try a new technique that I learned from Zoe, she used it on a witch stamp but I thought it would work as well on an angel, to reflect light so it looks like an object glows. I really like the outcome.
Hope you haven’t missed that this months challenge over at Make It Colourful is a 15 minute challenge. Colour a Make It Crafty image in 15 min or less to enter. I’ve chosen to use Snowman Dressed Up as my image. Both because the white only needs shadows and also because I can colour it with limited amount of colours. It took me 12 min and 29 sec to colour him all in.
For the past month and a half I’ve been working behind the scenes with a big project (I have been updating on instagram though), a cross stitching project. I really love cross stitching, and I always try to get some time in for it, maybe not everyday but at least a couple of days in the week. I started this project 1st of October, I was hopeing to get it finished before the last of october but it took me about 2 weeks longer. (Which with my track record isn’t that much, my father got to wait for his mallard ducks for 5 years!!). The pattern is called Winter Scene and is designed by Sue Cook. I found it in The World of Cross Stitching, Issue 78 from 2003. I have done some changes, the original had some angels holding a banner and a face on the moon, but I just wanted the serene scene.
We are now into November, all the stores have their christmas decorations up, and I’m just loving it. I wouldn’t mind it being christmas all year around, I love the smells, the lights, the glitter and the feeling that everyone around me is somehow feeling more giving and more happy. So throughout November we’ll be concentrating on Christmas/Winter cards. Today I’ve been working with a darling stamp from Make It Crafty called Fairy Star, as I do often I did start with a pattern paper, then I went through my folders of digis and found the one I thought would fit perfectly. I love these fairy stamps (there is a collection), with their big eyes and happy smiles, I do feel they are perfect for christmas. For sentiment I choose to use alphabet stickers as I can write what ever sentiment I want, even though I here choose to just write merry christmas. The stickers are then painted with some wink of stella and Spica pens to glitterfy them. If you want to see how I coloured her and put the card together watch the compaion video below.
Every month I get the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, I usually only post them on my youtube channel but thought I start posting them here to. Down below you’ll see a video showing the whole kit and links to all the products inside.
