The bi-weekly challenge over att Little Miss Muffet Challenges this time around is “One for the boys”, and having these adorable dinos in my stash I knew I needed to use one of them. So here is Dudleys friend Terry. I coloured him in some darker colours and I really love how he turned out.
When I saw this image I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it, a different kind of card, a card to say I’m sorry I messed up. I do so many thank you, birthday cards and just hello cards, but sometimes you need to acknowledge that you done wrong, that you want to make amends. It doesn’t need to be for something big, hey I think this card came from my kitty when he stole my yarn and made a whole big mess.
Sometimes going back to the basics is what you need, been working outside the box for a time now and thought stepping back into it was time. I love working with pattern papers, pairing them and a design together, finding a perfect fit is one of my favourite things to do, colouring is my number one tho. And in this card I got to do both. I love this cute little Witch Ellie On Broom and I knew I just had to pair her with some of my new halloween papers, I also knew that I didn’t want to go purple and black but just stay in the orange corner for this card. If you want to see me colour this stamp, put the card together and listen to some of my ramblings which now and then have some meaning you can watch the video below, you can also find more videos by using the video tag at the bottom or go visit my youtube channel.
Todays post is going to be a little bit towards the more serious side. A friend of mine has started a petition for her deaf daughter to get a CART machine at school so that she would be able to follow along the same way as the other students. She has the right to get one but the school is saying no. It would make me really happy if you would take a little time out of your day and sign the petition. There is a website set up for her at http://www.cartforcassandra.com/, so please hop on over and help. The stamp I’m using today is Polka Dot Pals Amelia and the designer behind it is no other than Barbara, Forgotten Scraps mother to Cassandra. Isn’t she just completely adorable!
It is Saturday and that means another card with Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I continue my panel cards as I done the whole week, kind of fun having a theme. I also have my puns going strong! I’m completely in love with the Polka Dot Pals and Trixie is no exception, just love that froggy hat, wishing I had one myself. I’m continuing #thehumanrainbow thought the bright colours would really pop against a darker shade of skin. I want to also remind you that there is a challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges Blog it’s bi-weekly and this time around it’s anything goes, just remember to use a stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
When I think about summer I think about the sea and in the sea there are mermaids, so there’s nothing that’s says summer as a mermaid. When I saw that summer was the bi-weekly challenge over at the Some Odd Girl Facebook group I just knew I had to enter. So I went to the store to get some new digis, my collection of Some Odd Girl stamps is shamefully small, and I found that they had somewhat recently released a new mermaid, so that just needed to jump down in my chart, with some others that you definitely will see in the future. And as usually it was the digis that got to go home with me, love that I’m able to start working in minutes after shopping. Today I have another panel card for you, btw I really need to get those under water scene digis that make it crafty has, but as longs I haven’t I have to make due with my scribbles.
Autumn is running at us in high speed and October is here before we know it, so today I have a Halloween card for you. I was so inspired by the CAS-challenge over at Make It Crafty this month and had so much fun cropping my image.
Sometimes you need that birthday card that is cute and cuddly, and Little Miss Muffet Stamps are just perfect for those. Today I’m using Jack’s Birthday and I’m pairing him with some Doodlebug Designs paper, just love how perfect those papers work together with all the Little Miss Muffet Stamps stamps.
There is so much exciting things going on over at the Make It Crafty Facebook Group and blog this month! First Zoe has a new DT call! Do you want to join us an promote Make It Crafty? Then head on over to the Facebook group where there’s a post with all the details. Personally I must say that becoming a part of Zoes DT (design team) is one of the best things that has happen to me. I have grown immensely since I started there, and the whole team is very supporting and helping each other, not only have I learned so much from all of them I have also found a group of friends. So if you love Zoes images as much as I do and want to learn and dare to step out of the box and put your grown up pants on then come and join in for the chance to become a Mic Gal you to (guys are also welcome to apply, we just haven’t had one in the team yet).
So for todays card! Today is the first day of the new colour challenge over at http://www.makeitcolourful.com/, and this month it is “Blending outside the colour family”. That means to use colours from two or more colour families( ex. blue & red, green and yellow etc), and for once I get a video up the first day of the challenge where I explain my thoughts on the subject while creating this card where I’m blending with a lot of different colour families. And remember you can use any kind of colouring medium to enter but you’ll need to use a Make It Crafty image.
