2 Cards 1 Card Kit – October Edition

Hi!

Today is a start of something new, 2 Cards 1 Card Kit, this is going to be a monthly video series where I go through the simon says stamp card kit for the month and then show you how I put together two cards with it. I’ve been subscribing to the Simon Says Stamp Kit since December 2013, I love to get that little package of coordinated pattern papers, cardstock, stamp set and other bits and pieces. And since they raised the prices you also get (almost everytime) a little die to play with. I thought that these videos would be as much for you as for me, to kind of kickstart me into using the kits and get the ideas flowing.

Happy Halloween – One Layer Card

We are slowly creeping towards October and Halloween! So there will be loads of fall and halloween projects coming up these coming weeks. Today I’m doing a one layer card, a true one layer one as I coloured on the card base, an all because I just needed to enter the challenge over at Lawnscapeing Challenges, it’s a bi-weekly challenge and this time it’s “One Layer Card”.

I have totally fallen in love with lawn fawn, and you will be seeing even more cards from me coming up with these cute characters.

Sending Latte Thanks

Todays card is for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge, it’s bi-weekly and this time it’s bingo! So come and play, I had so much fun putting this card together. The line on the bingo board I choose had the Little Miss Muffet image, dies and pattern pappers. I chosen to use Polka Dot Pals Danielle because I thought she would work awesomely with the fall/thanks giving papers that I chosen, also I have been digging through in my Simon Says Stamp card kit after that cute and adorable coffee cup die. But it was worth the digging, I really like the end result so I hope you will too.

Fairy Blog Hop with Make It Crafty

And the WINNER is Beachsidelynn

Please contact Zoe via the contact page in the Make It Crafty Store, and let her know which blog you won on.

Today we are excited to share a new style coming to Make it Crafty and of course the first images just had to be fairies! Is it possible to ever have enough fairies in your stash?

We have been having fun colouring these gorgeous new fairies and wanted to share some inspiration with you.

You will find a ‘link up’ at the bottom of this post where you can click through to each of us.

I’ve choose to play with Blyth, isn’t she a spunky fairy? And as monochrome colour schemes seems to be what I’m into these days, that was what I went for. So with no futher ado here is Blyth the Moth.

Be sure to leave comments along the way as each stop will be giving away the fairy they have used to one lucky commentor. Winners will be announced on each blog by the end of the weekend, so be sure to click back through the hop on Monday 28th to see if your name is at the top of this post!

Where can you get the new Fairies?!!You will find all the new fairies in the Make it Crafty store HERE

Into The Woods – Shaker Card

Hi!

This card was inspired by the tree trunk in the stamp set, I knew I just needed to do something with it, and I knew I wanted it to be “naturally” cut off. When looking through my dies I decided that the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles would be perfect. Then it just came together, love when cards just come together.

Faye’s Sunflowers In Shades Of Black

Hi

Last Monday I posted a card for the shades of black challenge for Make It Colourful, well today I’m posting a second one and this time with a video. I am playing with a technique that I’ve fallen in love with resently, and that is using copic and polychromos together, so the video is a bit longer than usually.

Polychromos:
White, Black, Warm Grey(all of them)

Halloween Train

Have you seen these adorable trains over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Store? I just feel in love with the locomotive with all those adorable little bats flying out of the chimney. This was one of the most detailed cutting I’ve done in some time, but I really loved it! I have had this idea in my head since I saw the stamp and I just knew I had to try to get it working. Like this it can be used as a decoration for a wonderful halloween table or on the mantel.

Into The Woods 2.0 This Time with Texture

So after making that little clean and simple card yesterday (which I posted this morning), I went over to Lawn Fawns blog and found out that they have a challenge (only open for a couple of more hours when I’m writing this). The challenge is texture, and the wheels in my head started spinning so fast. I knew that I just needed to make a remake of that card, and personally I think this one turned out much better. I actually livestreamed this one on Periscope, which is a new livestreaming app on ios and android, my username there is mispasttimes. You can find that livestream there for the next 24h, but you can also find it at katch.me/mispasttimes, it’s only about 13 min, that’s how fast this card came together.

Copic: E51, E53, E55, E57, R27

Polychromos: White, Nougat, Burnt Umber
