I continue to play with stamps from new companies. The stamp I’m using today is a stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls called Heart Lollipop Avery, isn’t she adorable. I’m also doing some selective stamping combining two sentiments from Simon Say Stamp to make a new one, you can see how in the companion video.

As Make It Crafty is Australian based I thought it would be a great idea to make a Australian Day Card. They have loads of Australian inspired stamps including this awesome Kangaroo with her little Joey in her pouch. I kept the colours on this card a little towards the earthy spectrum as I thought they would perfect with this theme and stamp and also that makes this card more gender neutral. And I also have a video showing how I colour Kangaroo & Joey and put the card together.

So jumping in to my DT position with both feet at the same time, today is the release day for the new Tiddly Inks images. You got alot to choose from, and I just couldn’t choose I went with four! Four you say but we see five. Well Christy threw in a little extra challenge just in the last minutes, give Semi Sweet purple hair, and I do have an affinity for bright coloured hair (I do have bright pink myself). So instead of heading to bed I’ve been sitting up playing with my purples. When I saw this stamp set over at Simon Says Stamp I was over the moon, I’ve been looking at these cats and dogs that Kristina Werner designed for quite some time, really loving them but never taking the plunge. Until now, these where to pawsome to give up. This card are a little bit smaller than the ones I usually create, just because I found the perfect spot on the paper, so I just had to cut it to that size. Hope you like the companion video too.

The challenge this week over at Make It Colourful this month is Watercolour Effects, and last week I showed you a card I coloured with Distress Inks. But I was wondering if I could get the same effect with my copic markers, and this is the end result. I’ve got a lot of craft resolutions this year, things like trying out new stamps, techniques and products, taking courses to learn new ways to be creative and use the stuff I get. One part of this is to use my Simon Says Stamp card kits more than I’ve done the past months. I’ve also going to join in with more challenges, yet another way to try new things. I will also be creating more videos, instead of 1-2 videos a week, there will be at least 3, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I hope you join me this year, I think it’s going to be an awesome and creative one.
So this cards does a few of the resolutions in one. Another month, another challenge. But this challenge is not just another challenge it is an awesome challenge, Zoe comes up with the most wonderful challenges, challenges that challenge you creatively and make you use every little bit of your artsy fartsy gene. This months challenge over at Make It Craftys challenge blog Make It Colourful is Watercolour Effect. You don’t need to use watercolours, you can use any medium, just get that watercolour effect. I’ve chosen to use my distress inks (I’ve used them too seldom and this makes me want to take them out to play even more), and I had a marvellous time. I’m using the new Magnolia flower stamp which is simply perfect for this challenge, with the soft colours that the flowers usually comes in.

I’m here with another card for you today, this time with a adorable stamp called Annie’s Bear by Tiddly Inks. I’ve been eyeing that stamp company for a long time and one of my craft resolutions this year is to actually buy more stamps from a bigger variation of stamp companies. There is so many beautiful and cute stamps out there and I want them all!
After buying a bunch of digis I went to see if they had any challenges to play with, and wasn’t I surprised when I saw that they had a DT call. Happy New Year! We hope you have had a wonderful time over the holidays and wish you an amazing 2015! Today we are excited to be sharing a new release of beautifully illustrated flower stamps from Make it Crafty. They are intricate and delicate with lots of detail and are the perfect choice for many occasions. These gorgeous new flowers are available in both digital and rubber and the rubber stamps also come with a hand written sentiment, which of course you could use between all the different flowers.
I got to play with the Lilies, and as it is a sympathy card I wanted it to be extra clean. So I went with white on white, but to get a little bit of colour and sparkle I used a border stamp that I embossed with some yellow gold embossing powder. I coloured the Lilies with my copic markers and then cut them out and put them on foam squares just to get a natural” shadow behind them.
