When I saw this image, and the name of the image Polka Dot Pals Iona I knew how she would be coloured, just like my friend Iona. She is an amazing woman, she made me think about things in another way. We worked together for awhile and this image makes me think of that summer when we were having lunch in the grass in the round about outside our office. Sadly we lost touch, I was never able to join in the fun at AW due to my health issues and when you can’t meet up it’s hard to keep in contact. I only worked at the company for a couple of months, then I went on to do other things. But she will always be in my heart, this awesome woman and she made me a better person.

Back in the end of February I got this little stamp in a news letter from The Greeting Farm, and as I’m on a mermaid kick at the moment I thought it would be an awesome stamp to play with. I really struggled with this card and it wasn’t until I found the perfect paper from Bo Bunny in my August 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp that the card came together. I’m really happy that I didn’t give up after the two first cards I made with it, and tried a third.

It’s April the first but this is not a joke! Little Miss Muffet Stamps have a new little release for you, Polka Dots Lark, isn’t she just completely hilarious. On my way home from work I was thinking about what papers that I would use for her, and decided that the Lovebug from Doodlebug Designs was the only way I could go, I’m completely in love with those papers. And then the colour scheme was born out of that.

When I saw that one of those small journaling cards from the Simon Says Stamp card kit this month had eiffel tower on it I knew I needed to make another card with one of the Make It Crafty Frenchies. This one is called Valerie and she is just completely adorable! I did however had a hard time choosing the yellows, but Facebook came to the rescue, and I ended up choosing one that Forgotten Scraps shared.

When I saw this Jr. Hatter Mary I knew she would be awesome on a easter card. I started colouring her skin and hair in neutral tones, then it came to set down a colour scheme, and I was stumped. She looked so sweet and light, I didn’t realise until later that I taken E0000 instead of E000 when colouring her skin making her much lighter than I usually colour skin. But I digged deep in my collection of Simon Says Stamp Card Kits and found this gorgeous paper Hello Sunshine from Lawn Fawn in the 2014 March Kit and then the card sort of made it self.
