Hi!

I have a serious sweet tooth, I love everything sugar. I also love fantasy specially cute and cuddly fantasy. Todays card have it all! Also I’m using my favourite colour combinations at the moment. I’m trying a new thing with doing complete voiceovers on my videos, trying to explain my thought process behind colouring the image and putting the card together. I would really appreciate your thoughts on it.

So I found this adorable Kitty among my Tiddly Inks images, I’m sorry to say but I think it’s been retired, but I just needed to make a card with it. This little guy was supposed to look like one of my former kitties, Mysil, but after just colouring the forehead she looked like she had a unibrow! So I ended up giving her a stripy pattern all over, turning her from a cat to a racoon.

Tried a new way (for me) to colour hair on yesterdays blog card, and when I shared it with my fellow DT girls, I got a “can you do a tutorial on this?”. Last time Dorinda asked me that I made it way to complicated for myself and the tutorial never happened. It’s the 7th in the month and that means a new challenge over at Make It Colourful, this month the challenge is hair, and with so many gorgeous stamps over at Make It Crafty, including the new Meadow Girls, this should be an easy challenge to join in. I’ve coloured up Chasing Nova today, got inspired by an article on facebook talking about how young girls are colouring their hair grey. I’ve also tried a new way of colouring hair as my technique failed me this time, and I kind of really like it. When I saw this image, and the name of the image Polka Dot Pals Iona I knew how she would be coloured, just like my friend Iona. She is an amazing woman, she made me think about things in another way. We worked together for awhile and this image makes me think of that summer when we were having lunch in the grass in the round about outside our office. Sadly we lost touch, I was never able to join in the fun at AW due to my health issues and when you can’t meet up it’s hard to keep in contact. I only worked at the company for a couple of months, then I went on to do other things. But she will always be in my heart, this awesome woman and she made me a better person.

Back in the end of February I got this little stamp in a news letter from The Greeting Farm, and as I’m on a mermaid kick at the moment I thought it would be an awesome stamp to play with. I really struggled with this card and it wasn’t until I found the perfect paper from Bo Bunny in my August 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp that the card came together. I’m really happy that I didn’t give up after the two first cards I made with it, and tried a third.

It’s April the first but this is not a joke! Little Miss Muffet Stamps have a new little release for you, Polka Dots Lark, isn’t she just completely hilarious. On my way home from work I was thinking about what papers that I would use for her, and decided that the Lovebug from Doodlebug Designs was the only way I could go, I’m completely in love with those papers. When I saw that one of those small journaling cards from the Simon Says Stamp card kit this month had eiffel tower on it I knew I needed to make another card with one of the Make It Crafty Frenchies. This one is called Valerie and she is just completely adorable! I did however had a hard time choosing the yellows, but Facebook came to the rescue, and I ended up choosing one that Forgotten Scraps shared.
