Last Monday I posted a card for the shades of black challenge for Make It Colourful, well today I’m posting a second one and this time with a video. I am playing with a technique that I’ve fallen in love with resently, and that is using copic and polychromos together, so the video is a bit longer than usually.

Have you seen these adorable trains over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Store? I just feel in love with the locomotive with all those adorable little bats flying out of the chimney. This was one of the most detailed cutting I’ve done in some time, but I really loved it! I have had this idea in my head since I saw the stamp and I just knew I had to try to get it working. Like this it can be used as a decoration for a wonderful halloween table or on the mantel.

Have another halloween card for you today, as we are working on us in to october there will be more and more of them. Today I have a little vampire for you from The Paper Nest Dolls, he’s called owen and he’s clearly out trick or treating. This card is using the same layout as mondays card but as paper and colours are completely different they too are. Happy haunting everyone.

So after making that little clean and simple card yesterday (which I posted this morning), I went over to Lawn Fawns blog and found out that they have a challenge (only open for a couple of more hours when I’m writing this). The challenge is texture, and the wheels in my head started spinning so fast. I knew that I just needed to make a remake of that card, and personally I think this one turned out much better. I actually livestreamed this one on Periscope, which is a new livestreaming app on ios and android, my username there is mispasttimes. You can find that livestream there for the next 24h, but you can also find it at katch.me/mispasttimes, it’s only about 13 min, that’s how fast this card came together.

I love making quick, simple and clean cards, but at the same time I love colouring. Lawn Fawn stamps are not only adorable they are also perfect to make quick, simple and clean cards with, and I get to do some colouring!

I don’t know about you, but I usually have a order how I craft, I first choose my image, then my papers and then try to match up my colours to my papers. This time however my colour scheme was already done, as this months challenge is Colouring Black. And as I’ve been longing to play with my faber castell polychromos, I thought I would combine the with my copics. I first coloured her, shadows and all with my copics, then I enhanced the details I wanted and soften up other parts with my polychromos. I had so much fun! Then I went digging in my papers and found that I had this lovely soft papers from Lost & Found that just fitted perfectly. Come join us this month, both the colouring challenge and the CAS challenge is all about black so you could get to entries with just one card.

When I got this image I just knew I wanted to pair it with a pattern paper that had cameras, but I just could remember where I saw it. Finally I found it in my August Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and the card practically made itself. It is as usually a clean and simple layout, letting the stamp talk for itself.

Good morning peeps!
Sometimes you make a little boo boo, which I did yesterday. I have found this amazing thing (was actually introduced to it by Sandy Allnock) it’s called Periscope. It’s a live streaming app that makes it possible to livestream from your mobile phone and it’s owned by Twitter. I have wanted to do some live streaming for along time, but due to technical difficulties I just haven’t. Well with Periscope I now have started and it’s so fun, it is awesome to look at other streamers to. The videos is only online for 24h, but thankfully there is a service called katch.me where you can automatically save your periscope videos.
Now to my little boo boo, I live streamed making this card, and after livestreaming I went in to share it in the DT group and found that this image wasn’t released yet! But it is now! and if you want to see the video you can find it on periscope (my username is mispasttimes, just like my twitter) or on katch.me/mispasttimes .
So for the card! This little guy is called Jobar, when you get him you get him as the dino/alien but also in clothes. He is super adorable and perfect for boy cards, but he dubbles perfectly for halloween. I’ve coloured him with a combination of Copic Markers and Faber Castell Polychromos, and you’ll see more creations with that combination going forward.

The bi-weekly challenge over att Little Miss Muffet Challenges this time around is “One for the boys”, and having these adorable dinos in my stash I knew I needed to use one of them. So here is Dudleys friend Terry. I coloured him in some darker colours and I really love how he turned out.

When I saw this image I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it, a different kind of card, a card to say I’m sorry I messed up. I do so many thank you, birthday cards and just hello cards, but sometimes you need to acknowledge that you done wrong, that you want to make amends. It doesn’t need to be for something big, hey I think this card came from my kitty when he stole my yarn and made a whole big mess.
