I have totally fallen in love with using very limited colour schemes, using mostly neutrals and just add that one pop of colour. For my project today I have cute little Odelie, and another get well soon project. I’ve choosen again not using a sentiment trying to let the tag to talk for it self.
The card made in today video is all about using your papers to the max, using it both as background but also as sentiments. And I paired the papers with the adorable Christmas Angel Ellie, by The Paper Nest Dolls.
The Challenge this month over at Make It Colourful is the opposite of last month, it’s bright colours. Well this card started out in that direction and the flowers are very bright, but when it came to colour her hair I just stopped. My plan was to make it bright blue, had some pattern papers that would match perfectly with her, but she said no! Does your stamp talk to you sometimes? Well mine was very opinionated, and I think I sat and stared at her for at least 15 min before giving in. And I really love how she turned out. This card is still a valid entry for the challenge, even tho it’s on the edge and for you who also are card makers the challenge for the CAS challenge over at Make It Crafty this month is also bright colours. You can use one image/card for both challenges if you want!
Last week a friend of mine was home with a really bad cold, and I really wanted to make him a card. I’ve been having this little stamp set in my stash for a while and finally got the ideas and inspiration to use it. The last couple of weeks my biggest inspiration have been making my own backgrounds with the small extra stamps that comes in the Lawn Fawn kits and I’m having so much fun! I’m also very much into playing with monochromes, and you will probably get some more cards like that while I’m working myself to the more brighter colours.
So in the mist of all the Halloween images I’m colouring I thought it was time to make a little christmas/winter card. Always good to have an extra thank you card in your stash specially around the holidays. The polka dot pals comes without faces, just the eyes, and even though I adore them as they are I thought I would add a little bit of me in there, if you want to add faces to them but are unsure of where to start there is an add-on faces both as digital and rubber.
I love the images from Little Blue Button Stamps, and I’ve been honoured to be a DT of Olgas team for a long while and I hope for a long time to come. When I started out she had a couple of series of cute stamps, that you know I just totally adore, but lately she has come out with a bunch of stamps more suitable for mixed media and/or art journals. These images makes me think outside my little comfort zone, makes me grow as a colourist and a card designer. Todays card is meant to conway a feeling, it does for me. But I wonder if it conway the same feeling for you? I would love if you would comment here and tell me what feeling (if any) this card conway.
Hi! So Kathy over at the Daily Marker is hosting the 30 Day Colouring Challenge again and I’m going to join in, colouring everyday for 30 days. I wont be blogging every day but the colouring will be shown on instagram
Todays card is a CASEd card from no other than Kathy her self, she have made this beautiful card using the starbucks seasonal cup and it turned out great. So I thought I would try make a similar one but with the materials I have at home, so once again I turn to the wonderful Into The Woods stamp set by Lawn Fawn. And I did to cards, slightly different but with the same concept.
