Hi!

Tried a new way (for me) to colour hair on yesterdays blog card, and when I shared it with my fellow DT girls, I got a “can you do a tutorial on this?”. Last time Dorinda asked me that I made it way to complicated for myself and the tutorial never happened. So this time I decided there where no time like the now and sat down and recorded the video directly. Hope you like it!

It’s the 7th in the month and that means a new challenge over at Make It Colourful, this month the challenge is hair, and with so many gorgeous stamps over at Make It Crafty, including the new Meadow Girls, this should be an easy challenge to join in. I’ve coloured up Chasing Nova today, got inspired by an article on facebook talking about how young girls are colouring their hair grey. I’ve also tried a new way of colouring hair as my technique failed me this time, and I kind of really like it. When I saw this image, and the name of the image Polka Dot Pals Iona I knew how she would be coloured, just like my friend Iona. She is an amazing woman, she made me think about things in another way. We worked together for awhile and this image makes me think of that summer when we were having lunch in the grass in the round about outside our office. Sadly we lost touch, I was never able to join in the fun at AW due to my health issues and when you can’t meet up it’s hard to keep in contact. I only worked at the company for a couple of months, then I went on to do other things. But she will always be in my heart, this awesome woman and she made me a better person.

Back in the end of February I got this little stamp in a news letter from The Greeting Farm, and as I’m on a mermaid kick at the moment I thought it would be an awesome stamp to play with. I really struggled with this card and it wasn’t until I found the perfect paper from Bo Bunny in my August 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp that the card came together. I’m really happy that I didn’t give up after the two first cards I made with it, and tried a third.

It’s April the first but this is not a joke! Little Miss Muffet Stamps have a new little release for you, Polka Dots Lark, isn’t she just completely hilarious. On my way home from work I was thinking about what papers that I would use for her, and decided that the Lovebug from Doodlebug Designs was the only way I could go, I’m completely in love with those papers. And then the colour scheme was born out of that.
